Rockstar Games ↗When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar lists November 12 for preloading digital preorders. Downloading the files a week ahead does not let you start the story early.
| Event | Current information |
|---|---|
| Game release | November 19, 2026 |
| Digital preorder preload | November 12, local midnight, according to Rockstar Support |
| Consoles | PS5 and Xbox Series X|S |
| PC release | No confirmed date in the official sources checked |
What time does it unlock in the US?
The US PlayStation Store lists November 19 at 05:00 UTC. Converted for that date, that is midnight Eastern on November 19, 11 p.m. Central on November 18, and 9 p.m. Pacific on November 18. These are conversions of the US PS5 listing, not a worldwide launch schedule or a verified Xbox unlock time.
If you use an account in another country, check that country's listing and your library countdown. English is the language of this guide; it does not mean every English-speaking market shares US pricing or unlock times.
Will GTA 6 be on PS4 or PC?
PlayStation explicitly says the game cannot be played on PS4. Rockstar's announced consoles are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; the sources checked do not announce an Xbox One version. A PC release date and official PC system requirements are still unconfirmed here. Requirements for GTA V cannot answer whether your PC will run GTA 6.
PS5 Pro Enhanced is a storefront feature label. It does not establish a tested frame rate, resolution, or performance advantage. See official footage and platform features before making a hardware decision.
Preload, boxed copies and starting on day one
Rockstar Support specifies local midnight on November 12 for digital preorder preloads. A boxed Standard copy contains a download code, with shipping and pickup expected to begin November 12. When you receive and redeem the code matters; every retailer is not guaranteed to deliver at the same time.
Use the download and storage guide to plan the transfer. Compare Standard and Ultimate if you still need to choose an edition.
Has it been delayed again? What about Online?
The date above is the official schedule checked October 28, 2026. Check the publication date on a delay story before treating an older announcement as new. The sources used here do not establish a separate GTA 6 Online release, its price, or crossplay support.
